Board of Directors

Aytaç Onkun was born in Gaziantep in 1974. He completed his undergraduate education in Anadolu University Faculty of Business Administration-Management Organization Department in 1998 and his graduate education in Toros University Faculty of Business Administration Social Sciences Institute in 2016.

In 1996, he started to work as a civil servant in Büyükşahinbey Agricultural Credit Cooperative affiliated to Gaziantep Regional Union of Agricultural Credit Cooperatives.

Appointed to Mersin Regional Union in 1997, Onkun worked in Erzin, Aydıncık and Anamur Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, respectively.

He was appointed as Director in 2008, Deputy Regional Director of Mersin Regional Union in 2012 and as Regional Manager.

Being appointed as Director in 2008 and then as Deputy Regional Manager of Mersin Regional Union and he afterwards worked as the Regional Manager Şanlıurfa Regional Union by 2019.

Mr. Onkun was appointed as a Member of the Board of Directors and General Manager (acting) on 10 June 2022.

Dr. Ahmet Bağcı graduated in 2004 from Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics, Gazi University. He received his master’s degree in 2011 and doctoral degree in 2017 in Social Sciences Institute, Gazi University.

Between 2004 and 2007, he worked as an Assistant Specialist in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and as an Assistant Financial Crimes Investigation Specialist at the Ministry of Finance between 2007-2008. In 2008, he served as a member of profession in the Court of Accounts, and completed the European Union Basic and Expertise Training in the Centre for Application and Research of the European Communities at Ankara University.

He worked as an advisor at the Ministry of Youth and Sports between 2013-2014. Having served in various positions in the Secretariat General of the Presidency between 2014-2017, Bağcı was appointed as Assistant Director-General for the Central Union of Agricultural Credit Cooperatives. Since May 2018, he has been serving as the Deputy Chairman of GÜBRETAŞ Board of Directors.

Fahrettin Poyraz, who is a graduate of Faculty of Political Sciences, Ankara University, received his master’s degree from Kırıkkale University and from the Public Administration Institute for Turkey and Middle East, received his doctoral degree in public administration from Hacettepe University. Poyraz, who worked as the accounting auditor in the Ministry of Finance and the chief auditor in the Court of Accounts, is a Chartered Accountant and holds an International External Auditor’s Certificate. Poyraz, who worked as a Board Member of Assistance and Solidarity Foundation of Faculty of Political Sciences Alumni, is currently a Member of Central Disciplinary Board of General Directorate of Sports and representative of upper division of Turkey Football Federation. Poyraz, who served as the parliamentary deputy for three terms, also served as the Chairman of the Public Economic Enterprises Commission. Poyraz serve as the General Manager of Central Union of Agricultural Credit Cooperatives and Chairman of Board of Directors since December 2017.

Assoc. Prof. Zeynep Müjde Sakar was born in Şanlıurfa. She completed her primary, secondary and high school education in Şanlıurfa. After completing high school education, she graduated from Gaziantep University’s Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration. As a second university, she also studied Faculty of Law in Cyprus International University.

After her bachelor degree, she started graduate education in Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences and graduated in 2008. She completed her PhD in the field of Economics at Harran University and received the title of Doctor in 2015. She worked as M. Lecturer at Harran University and as Assistant Professor at Iğdır University, respectively.
she was appointed as Assistant Professor to Harran University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics, Department of Economic Policy. In 2019, she took the title of Associate Professor.

While continuing her academic career at Harran University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, she was appointed as a member of Presidential Economic Policies Board of Turkish Republic in 2020. Assoc. Dr. Sakar speaks English professionally and German in intermediate level.

Vahit Kirişci, an agricultural engineer (MSC) and academic member, graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture, Çukurova University. He completed his master’s degree at Institute of Science at Çukurova University and his PHD at Cranfield University in UK. He later worked at Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Vahit Kirişci who lectured in Çukurova University as an academic member, received the title of associate professor in 1995 and became a professor in 2001. He published 55 publishings including articles, book, comission reports, papers. He served as an executive in certain non-governmental organizations. Kirişci who was elected as parliamentarian of Adana city in 22nd term, became a member of EU-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee and worked as deputy chairman. Kirişci moreover, was elected as Chairman in Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Affairs Committee and continued this duty in 23rd term as well.

After graduating from the Faculty of Political Sciences, Ankara University in 2007, he worked as an assistant auditor at the Court of Accounts between 2008-2010. He served in the University Audit Team between 2010-2011 and worked in the audit department of the Undersecretariat of Treasury since 2011. He was in England for language education in 2017.

As of July 2018, Mr. Ateş has taken office as the Assistant General Manager in the Central Union of Agricultural Credit Cooperatives. In May 2019, Mr. Ateş became the Board Member of GÜBRETAŞ.

Murat Yaşa, who started working life with publishing activities in 1997, was a member of Board of Directors at Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) between 1998 and 2005. Appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of Kent Katı Atık Yönetimi Ltd. Şti. in 2005, Yaşa continued his working life as Iraq Manager in Yön Group İnşaat ve Katı Atık Yönetimi. Working as a Coordinator at Remax Group between 2011 and 2015, Yaşa assumed the presidency at Sinan-Wren Foundation Turkey in 2015. He has been working as a partner of Yörünge İnşaat Temizlik Ltd. Şti. He also serves as a member of board of directors at non-governmental organizations such as Civil Solidarity Platform, Union of Islamic World Civil Society Organisations and Turkish Volunteer Establishments Foundation at various times.

After his undergraduate education, he completed his doctorate at two different universities between 1994 and 1996. He received his master’s degree from Posthumus Institute in 1998 and doctoral degrees from Utrecht University in 2000 and became a professor in 2008. He continued his academic life, which was started in 1993, with different positions at Baskent University. In 2011, Yıldırım Beyazıt University became the founding dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences. In 2012, he was appointed as a member of Council of Higher Education (CHE) and elected as a member of Turkish Academy of Sciences. He won international awards with his academic work at international universities.

He served as a board member at the institutions such as Ereğli Demir Çelik A.Ş. (ERDEMİR), İskenderun Demir Çelik A.Ş. (İSDEMİR), Sollac Ambalaj A.Ş., Erdemir Romanya A.Ş.; and as supervisory board member at the companies such as TTNET A.Ş. and AVEA A.Ş.

Ereğli Demir Çelik A.Ş. (ERDEMİR), İskenderun Demir Çelik A.Ş. (İSDEMİR), Sollac Ambalaj A.Ş., Erdemir Romanya A.Ş. gibi kurumlarda yönetim kurulu üyeliği; TTNET A.Ş. ve AVEA A.Ş. gibi şirketlerde denetim kurulu görevlerinde bulundu.
